Ongoing Construction Efforts

Druid Trail

The Druid Trail, when complete will be a four-mile multiple use section along the Druid Road right-of-way connecting the future Duke Energy Trail and the existing Pinellas Trail. This section connects residential areas, Clearwater High School and Glen Oaks Park. The section will also offer an alternative to access retail along Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard. Part of this section has been constructed from the Glen Oaks Park to the Pinellas Trail. The section between the Duke Energy Trail and Glen Oaks Park is anticipated to be constructed in 2016.

Courtney Campbell Trail

Courtney Campbell Trail LogoThe Courtney Campbell Trail is a 8' to 12'-wide paved path that will allow pedestrian and bicycle access along the entire southern side of the Courtney Campbell Causeway, from the Veterans Expressway in Tampa to Bayshore Boulevard in Clearwater, as well as connecting to recreational trails on both sides of the Bay. The 5.5-mile portion in Tampa / Hillsborough County, including a 45'-high bridge, was completed in Fall 2013. The remaining 4-mile section in Clearwater / Pinellas County will be completed in May, 2015. For more information, please visit http://www.tbrpc.org/scenic/cctrail.shtml.

Bayshore Trail

To connect the Courtney Campbell Trail to the Ream Wilson Trail, a section along Bayshore Boulevard is presently in design. It is estimated that this .8 mile section will be complete by May, 2015.
