2/12/2016 - Clearwater Traffic Advisory:Railroad Construction to Affect Court/Chestnut Street Traffic

CSX will conduct railroad crossing improvements along the tracks that cross Court and Chestnut streets in Clearwater, the artery to and from Clearwater Beach and through downtown Clearwater. Construction will occur during two weekends: Feb. 19 to 21 and Feb. 26 to 28. The impact to traffic will be significant. Detour routes will be clearly posted, and police will be present to direct traffic. more

The free, outdoor event, which is in its third year, will feature classic cars, live music, specialty food vendors and prizes, including a two-night stay at a Clearwater Beach hotel.

2/8/2016 - Volunteers and Sponsors Needed for Clearwater’s Paint Your Heart Out

Volunteers and sponsors are needed to continue the success of Paint Your Heart Out, Clearwater.
Now in its 24th year and with an estimated 450 Clearwater homes painted, Paint Your Heart Out, Clearwater helps disadvantaged homeowners and the elderly with volunteers who paint the exteriors of the Clearwater homes that have been selected.
Around 20 Clearwater homes will be painted for this year’s event on March 19. Painting begins at 8 a.m. and is expected to be completed by 2 p.m.

2/4/2016 - Water Main Break in Morningside Area

A water main break has occurred in the Morningside neighborhood along Nursery Road in the vicinity of US 19. Crews from the city of Clearwater’s Public Utilities department are on-site and are shutting down valves to begin replacing a section of the broken water main. A contractor working in the 2400 block accidently struck and damaged the water main. more
