Mandalay Repave Project: Road & Lane Closures

CLEARWATER, Fla. -- The following road and lane closures will take place in the City of Clearwater as part of the Mandalay Avenue repaving project, starting Feb. 10 through 14:

Monday, Feb. 10:

The northbound and southbound curb lanes, including parking stalls, of Mandalay Avenue from the Clearwater Beach roundabout to Baymont Street will be under construction. Westbound Baymont from Mandalay to the Intracoastal Waterway will be affected as well as closure of the metered parking stalls in this portion. Drivers are urged to use caution in this area and allow extra time.

Tuesday, Feb. 11:

Both southbound lanes and the northbound median lane of Mandalay Avenue from the roundabout to Baymont Street will be intermittently closed Tuesday, Feb. 11. Drivers are urged to use caution in this area and allow extra time.

Wednesday, Feb. 12:

- Baymont Street from the beach eastwards will be intermittently closed to traffic.

- Papaya Street from Poinsettia Avenue to East Shore Drive will be intermittently closed to traffic.

- Poinsettia Avenue from Baymont Street to Papaya Street will be partially closed to traffic.

- Striping will take place on Mandalay Avenue with brief rolling closures.

Thursday, Feb. 13:

East Shore Drive from Baymont to Papaya streets will be closed to traffic Thursday, Feb. 13. Local traffic only will be allowed through.

Milling and repaving work is expected to be complete by Friday, Feb. 14 unless any unforeseen delays are caused by weather or other causes that cannot be controlled.
