CLEARWATER, Fla – New events, outings and experiences being offered at the City of Clearwater Countryside Recreation Center summer camps this year are sure to more than satisfy both campers and parents.

Elementary school-age campers may choose camps with day trips that include Legoland, Buccaneer Bay and Pump it Up. Middle school kids may sign up for camps that include a zip lining adventure, a trip to a local television station or Extreme Fun Center. Admission is included in the economically priced camps, starting at $75 per week.

One new, educational element added to the elementary camps is a visit from Bricks 4 Kidz. Using Lego bricks, campers will build models and learn about robotics and concepts related to physics, engineering and architecture. “Our goal is to provide parents an affordable camp option for their kids that enriches, entertains, educates and fascinates them so much, they’ll be begging to come back next year,” said David Wilson, Countryside Recreation Center Supervisor.

Camp orientation will be held Friday, May 30 at 7 p.m. at the Countryside Recreation Center, 2640 Sabal Springs Drive, Clearwater, near Westfield Countryside Mall. For more information or to register, call (727) 669-1918.
